Leadership in Public Organizations provides a comprehensive treatment of public sector leadership. The text provides a review of the majority of the leadership theories in the field, and discusses the major competency clusters in detail, providing research on each competency and practical guidelines for improvement. These competencies are graphically portrayed in a Leadership Action cycle. The text features a 360 degree leadership assessment instrument that the student can administer in his or her organization. Every question links back to the text and provides strategies for organizational and leader improvement.

The purpose of this site is to provide instructor resources to facilitate the use of this text for traditional in-class or on-line courses. The site provides slides for each chapter, a sample course outline, downloadable versions of the 360 degree assessment, supplemental guidance for conducting the assessment, a suggested term paper to integrate the assessment and the text and suggested activities to support chapter learning objectives.
