This site provides a forum for the the exchange of information on  three related topics: (1) Hybrid Courses Design, (2) Computer-based Simulations, and (3) Instructional Systems Design.

Hybrid Courses: Over the past four years research has supported the concept  that a combination of traditional in-class instruction  and Web-based instruction can improve the achievement of course and program learning objectives. This combination of in-class and on-line course delivery has been designated as a hybrid course.  This Web site provides research links, design support links, sample syllabi and suggested design standards.

Computer Based Simulations:  Simulations provide the opportunity for students to go beyond the linear learning experience provided by case studies and experiment with a more dynamic and realistic situations. This Web site provides some background on simulations,  a matrix for evaluating the usefulness of a  simulations and some suggested simulations to support various Public Administration courses.

Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Handbook. ISD provides a systematic approach to course design that is performance based. This handbook is furnished as a reference guide for instructors involved in the design of professional and academic courses and for students participating in a training and development courses.
